Isaiah 6: 1-4
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw
the Lord sitting on a throne, high and
lifted up,
and the train of His robe filled the
temple.
Above it stood seraphim; each one had
six wings:with two he covered his face, with
two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.

And one cried to another and said:

"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
The whole earth is full of His glory!"

And the posts of the door were shaken
by the voice of him who cried out, and the
house was filled with smoke.

The prophetic word, " In 2007, I will call many Elijahs out of their cave [Thomas]" is correct. The timing of this is given in Isaiah 6. Certain people will die soon. When this occurs, the prophets of the wilderness will be released into the body of Christ.

Sinful Offering of Uzziah

2 Chronicles 26: 16-21
But when he was b his heart was
lifted up, to his destruction, for he trans-
gressed against the Lord His God by entering
the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the
altar of incense.

So Azariah the priest went in after him,
and with him were eighty priests of the Lord,
who were valiant men.

And they withstood King Uzziah, and
said to him, 'It is not for you, Uzziah, to
burn incense to the Lord, but for the priests,
the sons of Aaron, who are consecrated to
burn incense. Get out of the sanctuary, for
you have trespassed! You shall have no
honour from the Lord God.'

Then Uzziah became furious; and he had
a censer in his hand to burn incense. And
while he was angry with the priests, leprosy
broke out on his forehead, before the priests
in the house of the Lord, beside the incense
altar.

And Azariah the chief priest and all the
priests looked at him, and there, on his
forehead, he was leprous; so they trust him
out of that place. Indeed he also hurried to
get out, because the Lord had struck him.

King Uzziah was a leper until the day of
his death. He dwelt in an isolated house,
because he was a leper; for he was cut off
from the house of the Lord. Then Jotham his
son was over the king's house, judging the
people of the land.

Judgment came upon worship IN THE FLESH. All that is irreverent to God - including the FLESH - will be judged. Holiness and reverence is central in this chapter.

This characterises the judgment that has been upon the Charismatic move over recent years. As it manifested more and more in the flesh, judgment fell. Many of the leaders have died in the past few years. Indeed it is the time for the new thing, of which Isaiah speaks, to come to pass.

Uzziah's reign was was generally good. He was a successful king. Israel enjoyed prosperity that was only overshadowed by Solomon. Yet his last years were disappointing. He transgressed and was a leper for the final years of his life.

Similarly, the charismatic movement began bly, but has declined in recent years.

A GENERATION HAD TO DIE

The generation that came out from Egypt had to die. They could not enter the Promised Land. Only Caleb and Joshua could as they were of a different spirit. They were living in the new move of God. They had a different nature and character from the rest of the Israelites. There are a few who have no mixture. They will enter the Promised Land coming out of the wilderness. However, most have a mixture - charismatic and faith movements - and will not enter in. There is much of Egypt in the charismatic movement. Kenneth Hagin speaks of this in his book, Plans, Purposes and Pursuits.

We are today in a season in which the old generation is dying. When the time has come, we (Caleb and Joshua) together with a new generation (not the youth but rather those of kindred spirit) will enter in and ride the coming tsunami of God.

Note that this is different from what is taught in faith circles. They teach that positive confession is what made the difference and the reason why Caleb and Joshua entered the Promised Land. This is simply not true. This is not a mind set. This is not an attitude. This is not something which can be done yourself. It is of God. It is a deep work done by Him in the wilderness of God.

OLD GENERALS HAD TO DIE

Moses saw the Promised Land from a distance but was not permitted to enter. Once he saw the Promised Land from the mountain, he died. So too, will many leaders and generals of the charismatic and faith movements first die before we fully enter into the Promised Land. Many have seen glimpses of the Promised Land before dying. Pastor Ed Roebert saw this. Many generals have died already in the past decade. John Wimber, Kenneth Hagin, Derek Prince are a few of them. A few more will die in the coming months.

When this happens, Jesus Christ will be lifted up and exalted (" I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up "). The message of these prophets is Christ-centred in truth. Heaven will truly come to earth. The glory of God will settle on the earth and the whole earth will be full of His glory. A shaking takes place and the Shekinah glory of God - His manifest presence increases significantly ("the house was filled with smoke").

FAMILIARITY

The whistling, clapping and charismatic way dies too. Kathryn Kuhlman is our example here. She often told saints to be quiet and still. She didn't allow the flesh to come forth in her meetings. How different was it from charismatic meetings today! Similarly in the Azusa street meetings. They were very wary of the flesh coming in as they knew that it would quench the move of God.

He is high and lifted up; and, if we would see Him today in that position, we would be delivered from low living. It would also deliver some folk from this easy familiarity that they seem to have with Jesus. They talk about Him as if He were a buddy and as if they could speak to Him in any way they please. My friend, you cannot rush into the presence of God.

Releasing the prophets

Isaiah 6: 5-8
Then I said:

"Woe is me, for I am undone!
Because I am a man of unclean lips,
And I dwell in the midst of a people of
unclean lips;
For my eyes have seen the King,
The Lord of hosts."

Then one of the seraphim flew to me,
having in his hand a live coal which he had
taken with the tongs from the altar.
And he touched my mouth with it, and
said:

"Behold, this has touched your lips;
Your iniquity is taken way,
And your sin purged."

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:

"Whom shall I send,
And who will go for Us?"

Then I said, "Here am I! Send me."

Notice the emphasis on the phrase " unclean lips ". All that is of the flesh is unclean. Speaking the Word of God apart from His Presence and direction is unclean too. The Word-faith movement is most guilty concerning this - positive confession.

This is the purging of the flesh. It is symbolic to a degree as this purging has already taken place over the past decades in the wilderness. A wind of holiness has been blowing in the wilderness and the flesh has been thoroughly purged from the prophets of the wilderness.

TWO WINDS

This is a prophetic word which was given over a decade ago by David Minor. It is dated April 6, 1987. This prophecy was published in The Morning Star 1988-89. I feel it is very relevant for us today, as we see it being fulfilled before our eyes.

The State of the Church

" And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips " (verse 5) indicates the spiritual state of the church of God. Laodicea. Flesh. Own strength. A defiled people. [see Defiling the Temple of God]

Periodically a president of a country delivers a state of the nation speech his nation. It highlights the strengths and weaknesses in the nation. Our Lord gave the state of the church address in Revelation 2-3. The state of the end-time church is summed up in Laodicea's condition. Nothing positive was said about its condition.

The Message

Isaiah 6 : 9-10
And He said, "Go, and tell this people:

Keep on hearing, but do not
understand;
Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.

Make the heart of this people dull,
And their ears heavy,
And shut their eyes;
Lest they see with their eyes,
And hear with their ears,
And understand with their heart,
And return and be healed."

Many will reject the word of the prophets. They will not understand as the message is a spiritual message. The natural man cannot grasp its meaning. The truth concerning the flesh is not understood by many. Many have no idea concerning the difference between walking in the Spirit and in the flesh. They read the Word of God; yet are confused. This truth is only revealed by the Holy Spirit to those who truly love Him. Many will stay in their religious ways and remain in Laodicea. However, a remnant will emerge.

This remnant begun with the Third Wave in the 1990's. The fullness of the remnant will be manifested in the coming tidal wave.

Isaiah 6 : 11-13
Then I said, "Lord, how long?" And He
answered:

"Until the cities are laid waste and
without inhabitant,
The houses are without a man,
The land is utterly desolate,
The Lord has removed men far away,
And the forsaken places are many in
the midst of the land.
But yet a tenth will be in it,
And will return and be for consuming,
As a terebinth tree or as a oak,
Whose stump remains when it is cut
down.
So the holy seed shall be its stump."
